Our dogs use their noses to sniff out the species we train them to find.
Our works helps conservation in the following ways:
- protecting native habitat by finding invasive species so they can be removed.
- preserving endangered species so that they can be studied, moved or protected.
- restoring natural balance by locating the scat of elusive or reintroduced species so data can be collected about their range, diet and health.
- monitoring compliance with permits by finding bat and bird carcasses so mortality rates from construction projects such as bridges or wind turbines can be surveyed and reduced.
- preventing diseases by sniffing out the bacteria, fungal infections and parasites that threaten our our native plants and animals.
Training with thought, and compassion we develop dogs that have a nose for nature and connect with us as partners in the search for our targets.
